Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the La Liga at the moment.

The German international joined Barcelona in 2014 as a backup to Claudio Bravo. But after Bravo was sold to Manchester City two years later, Ter Stegen established himself as the no. 1 at the club.

Ter Stegen has continued to impress despite Barcelona's struggles in recent years, providing decent competition to Manuel Neuer for a place in the German team as well.

Despite not being in the best of form, the German goalkeeper made 31 appearances in La Liga last season, keeping 11 clean sheets. He is good in making saves with one hand, and has earned praise for his quick reflexes and technique.

A composed shot-stopper, the 29-year-old has been a consistent presence in Real Madrid's backline. He has excellent positioning, especially in one-on-one situations.

Last season, the goalkeeper kept 17 clean sheets in 38 games as Real Madrid narrowly lost the La Liga title to Atletico Madrid on the last day of the season.
