#3 Danilo Pereira

Danilo Pereira's transfer to PSG in the summer was overshadowed by the arrival of other top-rated superstars at the Parc des Princes. However, it wouldn't be far-fetched to say that the defensive midfielder has been more influential than most of the big-name signings at the club.

Pereira was signed from FC Porto on a permanent deal worth €16 million following a promising loan stint with the Parisians last season. The Portuguese has raised his game significantly this term, putting up a few eye-catching displays in the centre of the field.

So far, the defensive midfielder has made 19 appearances for PSG across competitions, starting in ten of them. He opened his account for the season with a fine finish against SCO Anger during a Ligue 1 game on October 15.

#2 Achraf Hakimi

It has been an impressive start to life for the defender in France.

PSG beat a host of other European giants for the signature of Achraf Hakimi last summer. The 23-year-old arrived at the Parc des Princes from Inter Milan in a deal worth €60 million, signing a five-year contract that will be active till 2026.

Hakimi has integrated into the team seamlessly since landing in the French capital. The Moroccan has been a regular at PSG, making the spot on the right wing of the defence his own with a string of spectacular performances.

So far, the right-back has played 24 games for PSG across competitions, with 18 coming in Ligue 1 and six in the UEFA Champions League. As things stand, he has bagged three goals and as many assists thus far, and should get better as the season progresses.

#1 Lionel Messi

The Argentine has been running riot in the UEFA Champions League.
The Argentine has been running riot in the UEFA Champions League.

With just one goal in 11 Ligue 1 appearances so far, it is impossible not to say that Lionel Messi has had a slow start to life at PSG. However, no one can argue that the Argentine has been the standout player for PSG in the Champions League this season.

Messi has taken to Europe's elite tournament to prove he's still got fuel left in his tank. The former Barcelona captain has recorded five goals in as many games for the Parisians in the continental competition.

Meanwhile, it is worth noting that the playmaker's Ligue 1 campaign hasn't been as catastrophic as many perceive it to be. Messi has created multiple chances and set up five goals in the division this term. He has also been unlucky to see some of his efforts crash against the woodwork, though.
