Real Madrid president meets Juventus officials to enquire for Paul Pogba

Real Madrid are interested in signing Paul Pogba.

Juventus’ French midfielder Paul Labile Pogba fights for the ball during the Italian seria A football match Juventus vs Fiorentina.

Real Madrid have contacted Serie A side Juventus to ask about their highly-rated midfielder Paul Pogba, suggests Italian sports website Football Italia.

Apparently, Juventus general manager, Giuseppe Marotta and Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez met on Wednesday night to begin their talks over the 20-year old.

“Today I did visit Real Madrid, but even if I had spoken about Pogba and Vidal I wouldn’t tell you,” Marotta told Sky Italia after his meeting with Perez.

Real Madrid are looking over the possibility of signing Paul Pogba and his Juventus team-mate Arturo Vidal in exchange for cash and Isco who has been recently unsettled at the Bernabeu due to lack of first-team football.

However, Real Madrid are not the only club to have put their dibs on Pogba, as Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain are said to equally interested in the French midfielder.

Real Madrid assistant manager Zinedine Zidane seems to have set his sights on signing Pogba, and has recommended the player to club president Florentino Perez.

This is not the club’s first attempt at signing Pogba, as they had previously attempted to sign him back in 2010 before Manchester United, however, disagreements with the player’s agent Mino Raiola over salary issues blocked the move.
