Real Madrid superstar Mateo Kovacic, who is currently on loan at Chelsea, has once again opened up about his move to the Stamford Bridge. The Croat midfielder pushed for a loan move to the Blues and got it following the World Cup.

According to the former Inter star, moving to Chelsea was a very important decision for his career. He also added that it was his desire to move to the Stamford Bridge while also thanking Real Madrid for making it happen.

"I think it was the most important thing I did for now in my career,” Kovacic said.

Kovacic then confirmed that he is happy in London but also stated that he needs to respect his parent club Real Madrid. He is looking forward to respecting the loan contract for now but also admitted that there is a possibility of him staying with the Londoners.

"For now, I am happy here. The city is amazing, the club is one of the best in the world, and my team-mates are great.

"I need to respect my previous club, Real Madrid. I can imagine myself staying here, but I have a contract I need to respect, and that is what I will do.”

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has revealed that he is currently focusing more on his performances for the Londoners this season. The Belgian has been linked with a move to Real Madrid ever since a great World Cup and the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, the Merengues couldn’t sign him in the summer but Hazard has continuously flirted with them. But when asked about whether he would consider rejecting Madrid to stay with the Blues, he said: "To be fair, I'm just focused on the pitch, and we'll see at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph claims that the Belgium captain is set to keep the Londoners waiting on a new deal as he wishes to know whether the Galacticos will make him their prime target.

He also wants Chelsea to sign a new striker because he doesn’t want to become a permanent false 9.

Despite the fact that Sergio Reguilon has done well whenever given the chance, Real Madrid are perhaps looking for a backup for Marcelo. One of the players that are being linked with the Bernabeu is Real Betis full-back Juan Firpo.

The Blancos might not see Reguilon as an option for the future and have, as a result, targeted Firpo, who is also an attacking-minded left-back with the ability to quickly track back and defend.

The defender himself admitted that he prefers Real Madrid more than other clubs because his father is a Madridista. He also revealed that they only watched Madrid games on TV when they first arrived in Spain.

"I'm drawn more to Madrid, my Dad's a Madridista. When I first came to Spain, Madrid were the only team we watched on TV at home. So I've always felt stronger about Real Madrid," he said.

Real Madrid are almost certain to sign Brahim Diaz in the January transfer window, according to reports. Marca claim that the Galacticos have completed the signing of the Manchester City midfielder with a fee in the region of €15 million plus add-ons.

The idea of Madrid is to announce the signing and unveil him next week itself.

Meanwhile, the other players linked to the Galacticos a lot is Kylian Mbappe. The Frenchman has been on the radar of the Merengues for a while now but they might have to let go of at least one key player in order to sign the World Cup winner.

According to Don Balon, Real Madrid are willing to offer Casemiro (€70 million), Isco (€80 million) or Marco Asensio (€120 million) and money to take the offer to €280 million for the French youngster.
