What's the Story?

According to Daily Mail, Bayern Munich will make another bid for Callum Hudson-Odoi after fear of losing him to RB Leipzig.

In case you didn't know...

Callum Hudson Odoi is one of the most highly rated youngsters in the Premier League and he played five league games for the Blues thus far. However, his current contract with the club will expire at the end of the next season and he is reportedly refusing to sign the extension.

Bayern Munich approached Chelsea with a number of bids during the past few weeks but all were rejected by the Blues.

The heart of the matter

According to Daily Mail, Bayern Munich will make yet another bid to secure the services of the Chelsea winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi. This time, the reported amount is £40 million.

With RB Leipzig now also in the running, offering Chelsea £20 million along with the opportunity of a buy-back clause, the next few days will determine the immediate future of the England Under-17 World Cup winner.

According to the reports, the player still prefers to join Bayern Munich but Chelsea wants to add buy-back clause in his contract, which the Bavarians are refusing at the moment.

For Hudson-Odoi, this saga is all about moving to Germany to get more playing time, following the footsteps of his compatriot, Jadon Sancho at Borussia Dortmund. If Chelsea refuse to take Bayern’s deal, the youngster may decide to opt for Leipzig instead.

Rumor Rating- 6/10

With both Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben leaving at the end of the season, Bayern Munich are looking for their replacements and Hudson-Odoi is among their top targets. However, Chelsea are playing hardball for him and could force Bayern to accept their complicated demands.

What's next?

Chelsea will play Sheffield Wednesday for the FA Cup fourth round match later today, whereas, Bayern Munich will host VfB Stuttgart at Allianz Arena for their first home game of 2019.
