According to reports from Germany, promising Chelsea youngster Tomas Kalas is set for a return to England and terminate a season-long loan deal with German Bundesliga side Cologne after having failed to make any impression at the club.
Kalas made his debut for the Blues last season and showed real promise in his two starts for the Londoners. This prompted Jose Mourinho to send the young Czech centre-back on a season-long loan to Cologne to get more playing. However, not everything has gone to plan for Chelsea and Kalas. The centre-back has so far accounted for a grand total of zero minutes of competitive action for Cologne, who are stuck in the middle of the Bundesliga table.
Talking to the media, Kalas' agent, Viktor Kolar said that they are currently working to resolve the situation that Kalas finds himself in, with an option of a loan to a Premier League rival firmly on the table. Queens Park Rangers seems to be a viable option for the 21-year old at the moment.
Speaking to isport.blesk.cz, Kolar said: "We have been negotiating the situation surrounding Tomas Kalas and there are a number of options from the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
"One of them indeed is Queens Park Rangers. We want Tomas to play regularly and would like to have his future sorted out before the start of the transfer window, so that the matter is concluded to the satisfaction of all parties concerned."
