Reports: Italian giants Juventus looking to make mammoth offer for Oscar

Reports suggest Juventus are ready to test Chelsea’s will by making a big offer for Oscar

Another report this weekend that has caught my eye (other than Gareth Bale) has been reports that Italian giants Juventus had sent their scouts to watch Oscar play for Brazil on Friday night against France in a game he scored.

It's believed that he is one of their main targets this summer and they would be prepared to pay around £30 million for the playmaker. As we have seen during different stages of the season, Oscar's place in the starting eleven isn't always guaranteed.

You look at the likes of Eden Hazard and Willian who seem to be selected by the manager no matter how big the game is, so you have to wonder what the manager would think of a bid of that amount made for Oscar if it comes in this summer?

I really, really like Oscar who has the best years of his career ahead of him. If you are honest, he plays as our number ten who is the player the team looks towards to create and craft opportunities for others but that mantle has been taken by Cesc Fabregas this season.

Don't get me wrong, Oscar still has an influence on games but nowhere near the same as Fabregas and I just wonder if Jose Mourinho would consider sanctioning a move to Italy based on that fact?

Oscar has proven quality and that's a credit to him. He came to Chelsea as a youngster into a big physical, demanding league and has adapted well. The defensive side of his game has also improved and as we have seen many times, he can put himself about and make important tackles in high areas as we look to press the opposition in their own half.

I just cannot help but think that Oscar could be classed as disposable by Mourinho this summer. We had read reports of the three players linked with a move from the Bridge earlier last week, but I still think there could be a surprise added to that list with Oscar being a possible one.

You look at how many times he is substituted, how many times he has been left out of the side compared to the others and you have to believe the manager has a reason for it. Of course, these reports could be total nonsense but if you look around you will see that most have picked up on the story after the Juventus scouts were spotted.

What do you think on these reports of a £30 million bid for Oscar this summer? Do you think Chelsea should and would sell?
