Liverpool interested in signing 18-year-old Serie A prodigy: Reports

The Reds have found great success with players signed from Roma in recent years. The Merseyside club roped in Mohamed Salah from the Serie A giants in 2017, and the Egyptian has been one of their best-ever players.

Alisson Becker followed the same route to Anfield a year later and has been outstanding between the sticks. However, the Brazilian recently turned 32 and Liverpool could be laying down succession plans for the future.

New manager Arne Slot has already signed Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia for the job and the Georgian will arrive at Anfield next summer. However, the Reds are keeping their options open and have identified Marin as well.

The 18-year-old's contract with AS Roma expires at the end of this season and he hasn't signed a new deal. Negotiations for an extension haven't been fruitful yet, and his suitors are eyeing the situation with interest.
