Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly leading the race to sign Manchester City playmaker Bernado Silva in the summer. The Portuguese midfielder has been an integral part of the City setup and his abilities have earned him admirers across Europe.
Los Blancos are very familiar with the Portuguese star's abilities, with Carlo Ancelotti and his men having faced City for three consecutive seasons in the Champions League.
According to The Daily Star, via Sport Bible, Silva will be available for a reasonable price of £50 million due to a release clause in his contract.
The 29-year-old joined City from then French champions Monaco, where he played alongside Kylian Mbappe. The pair helped the Principality-based side reach the Champions League semifinals. A chance to potentially reunite with the Frenchman in the Spanish capital could appeal to Silva.
While Silva has been linked with a switch to Madrid's eternal rivals Barcelona, the cash-strapped Catalans might find it hard to match Los Blancos in a bidding war. Bernardo Silva has been a phenomenal player for City in his seven years with the club, but the time might have come for him to seek out a new challenge.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he has no complaints about the style of play his side used to overcome Manchester City in the Champions League. Los Blanco's style was questioned, particularly by City midfielder Rodri, however, the legendary Italian boss is unfazed by such concerns.
City dominated the ball in their game against the Spanish giants, but could not convert that dominance to victory on the night. Real Madrid held out for a draw and knocked the English side out on penalties to progress to the semifinals.
The Italian boss replied to questions about the style his side used to secure victory in his Friday press conference via ESPN, saying:
