Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen could reportedly be on his way to Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray.

Turkish outlet Fanatik (via Tribal Football) reports that Cimbom are pursuing Eriksen whom they showed interest in signing in January. The Dane has endured a frustrating season, a mix of fitness issues and a lack of game time.

Galatasaray view Eriksen, 32, as Tanguy Ndombele's replacement. The Frenchman will likely be heading back to Tottenham Hotspur once his loan expires in June.

Eriksen voiced his frustrations with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag. The former Spurs playmaker has started just 11 of 21 games across competitions, managing one goal and two assists.

The Red Devils are set for a busy summer transfer window where INEOS are expected to oversee a major overhaul of the squad. Several players' futures at Old Trafford may be at risk.

Eriksen has a year left on his contract but United may be willing to cash in. Transfermarkt values him €10 million and the Premier League giants would be making a profit because they signed him as a free agent in July 2022.

The 128-cap Denmark international was a constant starter for Ten Hag last season. He started 37 of 44 games across competitions, registering two goals and 10 assists, and was part of the side that won the Carabao Cup.

Rasmus Hojlund admits he'd like Christian Eriksen to have more game time at Manchester United

Rasmus Hojlund gave his take on Eriksen's lack of first-team opportunities this season. The Red Devils striker praised his compatriot while acknowledging that Ten Hag makes the final call:

"I myself have sat on the bench for Copenhagen, so I know what that means. But he holds his head high and he is a class player. There is absolutely no doubt about that... He is a good player, so you would like to see him on the field, but we have many good players. So it must be the coach's decision whether he plays or not."

Hojlund hasn't had any issues with his game time this season since arriving from Atalanta last summer for €73.9 million. Many especially fans from Denmark would have expected the Danish duo to regularly link up at Manchester United.

However, that hasn't been the case as Ten Hag has preferred the likes of Scott McTominay and Casemiro. Kobbie Mainoo has also enjoyed a breakout season which has further jeopardized Eriksen's game time.
