Arsenal are reportedly set to contend with competition from Chelsea and Manchester United for the services of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.

The 20-year-old Slovenian has been in impressive form for the Bundesliga club this season, bagging 13 goals and two assists in 37 games across competitions. Most of those goal contributions - nine goals and two assists in 26 games - have come in the league, where Leipzig are fourth in the standings after 29 matches.

Despite Sesko's contract running till 2028, there has been no dearth of interest in his services, which includes the three aforementioned Premier League giants. As per The Standard, Sesko's representatives have attended the Blues and United's matches, with the Gunners also in the fray for the six-foot-four striker.

As per the aforementioned report, Sesko has a release clause of €50 million, which will become active in the summer. Although the Slovenian has elicited comparisons with Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, Sesko is more versatile, as he can also play on the wings.

Leipzig are apparently preparing for life without the 20-year-old next season, with Sesko likely heading to the Premier League at the end of the season.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have had contrasting seasons. While the Gunners are two points off the Premier League summit after 32 games, the Blues and United are struggling to finish in the top-six.

The Gunners are coming off a 1-0 defeat at Bayern Munich in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League in midweek, which knocked Mikel Arteta's side out 3-2 on aggregate. They next take on Wolverhampton Wanderers away in the league on Saturday (April 20).

Chelsea, meanwhile, are ninth in the standings after 31 games and next take on holders Manchester City in the FA Cup semifinal on Sunday (April 21). The Cityzens are coming off a shootout defeat at home to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal, which ended their title defence.

Coming to Manchester United, the Red Devils are winless in four league games - losing once - and next take on Coventry City in the FA Cup semifinal on Sunday. Ten Hag's side are seventh in the Premier League after 32 games, level on points with sixth-placed Newcastle United.
