Rumour: Chelsea could swoop for Inter Milan star Andrea Ranocchia

Chelsea are on high alert after Barcelona were rumored to show interest in Brazil defender, David Luiz. The Blues could look for replacements in January, and rumours are that Inter Milan center back defender, Andrea Ranocchia, might fit the bill just fine.

Luiz has been in and out of the side this campaign and has lost his spot to rejuvenated Chelsea old guard, John Terry. His incessant mistakes at the back has made Mourinho rather reluctant to start him, fuelling speculation of a departure from Stamford Bridge.

Andrea Ranocchia, a 6 foot 5 inch Italian, shone last season at Inter Milan, and has made many heads turn. He has a dozen caps for his national side and is well regarded in Europe.
