As per Daily Mail, Radamel Falcao is all set to quit AS Monaco, which has put Chelsea on high alert.

Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho had mentioned that he was desperate to sign a world class striker in the winter transfer window. Falcao’s availability has given a ray of hope to the Premier League giants.

It is believed, the Colombian striker is not happy with the standard of football in Ligue 1 and is desperate to make his way out in January.

Radamel Falcao earns around £12 million-a-year tax free currently, which means Chelsea would have to pay him close to £450,000-a-week to equal his salary.

Chelsea targeted Falcao in the summer but did not move for the Atletico Madrid striker, instead picking up Cameroon forward Samuel Eto’o.

Chelsea will have competition for the striker though, with Manchester United and Real Madrid also interested in availing his services.
