English giants Chelsea are plotting a £20 million move for Juventus superstar Arturo Vidal in the upcoming summer transfer window. The 26 year old Chilean international is on top of Jose Mourinho’s summer wish list as the Stamford Bridge outfit will be looking to straighten their squad.
Italian media has reported that Chelsea scouts are keeping a keen watch on the Chilean midfielder’s performances, and he is being considered as a potential replacement for Chelsea legend Frank Lampard. The timing is perfect for Chelsea as Vidal is believed to be keen on a transfer move from the Serie A defending champions and with Juventus apparently interested in Ramires, the possibility of a swap deal is quite likely at the moment.
Jose Mourinho has stated that Chelsea are willing to allow Ramires to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer and after the re signing of Nemanja Vidic in January, Vidal will be instrumental in straightening the central midfield of the club.
