Chelsea are lining up a big money summer swoop for Arturo Vidal, effectively confirming the expected exit of long-time club servant Frank Lampard, according to the Mirror.

Lampard’s current contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season and their have been no moves as yet to suggest that he will be offered a new deal to remain at Stamford Bridge, with a move to the MLS and LA Galaxy expected to be Lampard’s next destination.

The England midfielder has struggled to hold down a first team position with the Blues this season and will be allowed to leave, with Juventus midfielder Vidal lined up to replace him.

The Chilean midfielder has enjoyed a fine campaign with the Serie A league leaders, and recently claimed he was potentially the best in the world in his position, with several big name clubs keen on enticing him away from Italy.

Manchester United and Real Madrid have also been linked with a summer move for the Chilean, but Chelsea believe they have an ace in the hole in Ramires, with Juventus keen on the Brazilian and potentially open to a switch.

Ramires has incurred the wrath of manager Jose Mourinho for his indiscipline in the second half of the season and the Chelsea boss is prepared to let him leave the club and could be willing to sanction his sale as part of any move to bring the talented Vidal to Stamford Bridge.
