Jose Mourinho is reportedly keeping tabs on Paris Saint-Germain Ezequiel Lavezzi as he aims to bolster his lacklustre front-line, according to the Evening Standard.

Mourinho has been let down thus far this season by his three strikers in Demba Ba, Fernando Torres and the rather injury-prone, Samuel Eto’o. He has numerously spoken to the media about reinforcing his striking department at the end of the season and the former Porto, Real Madrid and Inter Milan manager is being linked with a host of players.

Matters were made worse recently when Mourinho was caught in a spat with Eden Hazard.

The ‘Special One’ is already on the verge of tying down a move for Diego Costa, but he is also interested in prizing away Argentinian star, Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The former Napoli winger joined the French outfit in 2012 and has excelled during his time at the club. However, Lavezzi has failed to build on his impressive first season at the club with another former Napoli man, in Edinson Cavani, providing stiff competition in his position.

Lavezzi was recently reinstated into the starting XI and he faced Mourinho’s Blues, a game which he played brilliantly in at the Parc des Princes. Mourinho was impressed by the Argentine’s performance and he is looking to make a bid for the forward in the summer transfer window.
