Rumours are that Juan Mata may leave Stamford Bridge in January after having agreed to a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain.
With Jose Mourinho looking to spend big in the transfer window, Mata might well be on his way out.
Mata, who has been named Chelsea’s player of the season in the last two campaigns with the club, is now becoming concerned that his place in Spain’s World Cup squad could be in doubt if he continues to be left on the Blues bench.
The French Daily, Le10sport are reporting that PSG had an agreement in place with Chelsea for the player and an agreement with the player remains in place should the deal come back to life in the next transfer window.
PSG’s agreement with the player makes them frontrunners for his signature should he leave west London, but both Juventus and Atletico Madrid are retaining an interest as well.
Mata has so far started just five Premier League games this season and has found himself playing for a weakened second-string team in the Capital One Cup.
