Navarro was pointing towards referee Muniz Fernandez’s decision to disallow Ivan Rakitic’s goal, which proved to be a turning point in the match. Barcelona only had a one goal lead when the goal was disallowed but went on to win the game 3-2 with goals from Dani Alves, Lionel Messi and Alexis Sanchez. "Everyone can see it was a stitch-up. We're angry. I don't want to say anything further because I might be suspended for what I have to say,” Navarro told Canal+. The end of the game prompted angry scenes as Barcelona’s substitute keeper Jose Manuel was cautioned after a row with the Sevilla bench. However, Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino and defender Dani Alves claimed that the goal was disallowed for a clear foul. “The player admitted [that it was a foul] it on the pitch later,” said Dani Alves. The win now sees Barcelona 2 point clear of arch rivals Real Madrid who drew their game with Villarreal.
