Over the past few days, we’ve been analyzing few of the best transfer rumours doing the rounds. At Sportskeeda, we’re making a constant effort to bring the most accurate transfer information to our readers.
Today, we discuss the future of Jordon Ibe, Blaise Matuidi, and Neven Subotic. We have done an in-depth analysis on the English Premier League transfer rumours of 7th July.
#1 Jordon Ibe to Bournemouth
Liverpool Echo say Bournemouth have managed to agree a £15m fee with Liverpool for Jordon Ibe. The 20-year-old has been given permission to hold discussion with Bournemouth.
Experts say: Local journalists believe Ibe will now choose between playing regularly for Bournemouth, or getting limited chances at Liverpool.
Our take: Liverpool are not playing in any European competition next season, and it’s very unlikely Ibe will get his chances after the arrival of Sadio Mane. Liverpool also have included a buy-back option and sell on clause, so it’s fair to say it’s a win-win situation for them. Ibe is very likely to sign for Bournemouth, and would be hoping to make an impact over there to earn a transfer back to Liverpool.
Chances of it happening: 9/10
#2 Blaise Matuidi to Manchester United
Manchester United are in negotiations with Juventus for Paul Pogba. However, they could turn their attention towards Paris-Saint Germain star Blaise Matuidi should they fail to agree a deal for Pogba, reports Manchester Evening News.
Experts Say: Experts believe Manchester United are interested in the Paris-Saint Germain midfielder but haven’t made any moves yet.
Our take: Manchester United are definitely interested in Matuidi, who is also a client of Mino Raiola. The Premier League giants are expected to go all out for Pogba, and will only consider signing Matuidi should they fail to agree a deal with Juventus. Personal terms with Pogba shouldn’t be a problem, and at the moment the Juventus star looks more closer to Old Trafford.
Chances of it happening: 5/10
#3 Neven Subotic to Premier League
Borussia Dortmund have confirmed Neven Subotic hasn’t been training, as the defender has been allowed to hold discussions with clubs over a move. According to Kicker, Dortmund want €10m for Subotic, whilst Bild believe a move to the Premier League is likely.
Experts say: Experts believe Subotic is definitely leaving Borussia Dortmund and the player has confirmed that himself. However, there seems to be some disagreement over his transfer fee, and next destination. German newspaper Bild believe he could be allowed to leave for €5m, whilst reports in England suggest he could be off to Middlesbrough.
Our take: Middlesbrough are reportedly in talks with Subotic, after completing a deal for Victor Valdes. The player has also been linked to Liverpool in the past, but they don’t seem to be interested in him any longer. At the moment, it’s difficult to say if Subotic will find a move to Middlesbrough tempting, but they definitely have the money to sign him. Subotic, however, is very likely to move to the Premier League.
Chances of it happening: 8/10
