Barnes came off as a substitute and scored a brace to secure Burnley's first Premier League win of the season. Barnes capitalized on the opportunity to net his first goal after Gudmundsson's shot got deflected off the post and fell in Barne's path. He then capped off the day with an immaculate strike following a Westwood breakaway with Lennon setting him up beautifully to make it 4-0.

Iheanacho's left-footed shot in the 19th minute found the bottom corner of the goal after Vardy set him up with a through ball. He missed a shot which grazed past the left goalpost from a Chilwell cross. In the 75th minute, he returned the compliments to Vardy, setting him up from a fast-break to make it three goals for Leicester. The Nigerian had an excellent game, setting up Vardy and Gray with opportunities to score throughout the match.

Vardy was the chief architect in the Foxes' first goal to set up the Nigerian with a through ball from a lethal counter-attack started by Maddison. He then slotted a goal with a right-footed strike following a fast break from Iheanacho in the 75th minute. Vardy had an eventful day, producing six shots on goal of which three got saved and the other three narrowly missing the target.
