Another instance which was off the pitch and really not the best display of sportsmanship on Ronaldo’s part was the fact that he missed the Ballon d'Or ceremony, just because he was not winning the award this year. Well, whatever be the reason, the fact still remains that both he and Messi did not show up to a ceremony where they were not winning and this did not go well with the fans. They have always received a lot of support during their wins and should have done the same on their rival’s triumph too.
