English left-back Ben Chilwell joined Chelsea on a five-year contract from Leicester City for a hefty price tag of £50 million. The 23-year-old England International came through Leicester's youth set-up and has been a regular fixture for the Foxes since his debut in late 2016, amassing 99 Premier League appearances. The young full-back was superb on his Premier League debut for the blues, scoring and assisting in their 4-0 route of Crystal Palace.

Bosnia and Herzogovina star Miralem Pjanic moved from Juventus to Barcelona for a massive fee of £54.8 million, penning a four year contract in the process. 'The Pianist' perfected his trade at Metz and Lyon before moving to Italy. During his stint at Roma, he was considered as one of the best midfielders in the Serie A. and eventually made a big money move to Turin. The 30-year-old midfielder enjoyed a trophy-laden four years at Juventus, and is banked on to make an immediate impact at Camp Nou. The catalans have also inserted a massive £365 million release clause to his contract ahead of his arrival.

#5 Alvaro Morata - Chelsea to Atletico Madrid (£59.2m/$76.7m)

After being loaned in from Chelsea for 18 months, Atletico Madrid fulfilled their obligation to buy the Spaniard before loaning him out to Juventus. The £59.2 million rated Spaniard's move paved the way for Luis Suazre's arrival at Atletico.

Morata previously played for Juve between 2014 and 2016 and was quintessential in their consecutive Seria A title wins. 'The Old Lady' have the option to buy Morata at the end of this season for £41 million or after a second campaign on loan for about £32 million.

Manchester City secured the services of Benfica's Ruben Dias for £62 million to sort out their shoddy defence. The highly-promising center-back has penned a six-year deal and arrived just after City's 5-2 humbling at the hands of Leicester City.

The Pep Guardiola managed side has consistently shipped goals, and Dias would be the perfect partner to complement Aymeric Laporte. The Portugal International is a natural leader and will be a much-needed vocal and proactive presence for the Cityzens at the back.
