The Golden Boy of English football and Tottenham
The Golden Boy of English football and Tottenham

The Golden Boy of English football and the highest scoring active English striker playing in the Premier League at the moment, Harry Kane is by far the best forward to play in the Premier League since the arrival of Wayne Rooney as a 16-year old for Everton.

A product of the Tottenham Hotspur youth system, Kane had to wait a while, spending three seasons on loan at different clubs, before making an impact in the Premier League. The striker made his league debut against Newcastle United in the 2012-13 season but had to wait till the next season to make his second league appearance under Spurs.

Kane broke through into the Spurs team in the 2013-14 season and since then the England captain has been on fire for the Lilywhites.

The Spurs and England captain holds the record for the most Premier League player of the month trophy and is the fourth highest goal scorer in Tottenham Hotspur history and has twice won the Premier League Golden Boot.

Kane also holds the best strike rate in the Premier League history and is on course to beat the goal scoring set by Alan Shearer if the striker keeps up his strike rate.

At present, he has made 175 appearances in the league and has an impressive 122 goals for Tottenham alone in the league.

The 25-year old is 17th on the list of all-time leading goal scorers and is the 10th highest English goal scorer in the Premier League.

The best non-European to grace the Premier League

The highest active goal scorer in the Premier League and one of the best non-English imports and the best non-European to grace the Premier League, Sergio Aguero is an absolute Premier League legend. The Argentine's injury-time goal against QPR in Manchester City 2011-12 title-winning season is imbibed in the Premier League folklore.

The Argentine started his professional footballing career at the age of 15 with Independiente in 2003 before moving to Europe with Atletico Madrid and finally joining Manchester City in 2011, almost eight years since his debut.

Kun Aguero as he is known set the ground running ever since his arrival, The Argentine has scored 10+ league goals in the eight seasons (including the present one) in the league but unfortunately has never won the Premier League golden boot.

The 30-year old has made 225 appearances in the Premier League and has scored 153 goals, making him the eighth highest goal scorer in the league. Aguero is just 22 goals behind Thiery Henry, the highest non-English player on the list.
