A UEFA Champions League title would escalate Emery's position as one of the best managers around
The current Arsenal Boss has a phenomenal record in the Europa League, winning the title 3 times in succession with Sevilla. However, the Spaniard’s record in UEFA Champions League is a tad underwhelming. In the 41 matches he has appeared as a manager, he lost 16 and won 17.

Emery first appeared in the Champions League with Valencia in the 2010/11 season, where he won 3 of the 8 games played and reached the last 16. Next season, Valencia were eliminated from the group stages of the tournament.
Emery then moved to Spartak Moscow and with them, he won just 1 of the 5 Champions League games, getting eliminated in the group stages again. The Spaniard returned to the Champions League with Sevilla in the 15/16 season, but ended the group stages in 3rd position, entering the UEFA Europa League, which he won for the third time.

In the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons, Emery reached the last 16 with PSG, winning 9 of the 16 games and losing just 4.
The Spaniard’s record in the Champions League has improved in recent times, however, those statistics will have to wait as he is currently involved in the UEFA Europa League with Arsenal.
Emery will be hoping to repeat his success in the tournament this season and build on the preparation to have an extended run in the Champions League next season.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
