A couple of weeks after winning the UEFA Europa League, it looks like Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is set to depart to his homeland and take over at Juventus. Sarri has told Chelsea that he wants to leave and the club has informed him that he can leave.

Sarri has another year left on his current contract with Chelsea. There is also an option to extend it by a year. However, Sarri has found it difficult to settle into life in England and was left frustrated owing to the difficulty in getting across to the club's top brass.

Chelsea, despite their trigger-hungry nature, were not planning on giving Sarri the sack. However, they are not keen on making him stay when he wants to leave. Massimiliano Allegri's departure from Juve's helm has opened up an exciting prospect for Sarri that he finds too inviting to just pass up.
