Things are obviously not going well for Real Madrid with the club losing for the second time in a week to bitter rivals Barcelona. The keen rivalry between Real Madrid and the Blaugrana is what has made the Clasico tick all these years but, in recent times, the fixture is fast becoming one-sided.Saturday’s 1-0 loss is the second time in the space of a week that the Blancos have been beaten by Barca. In midweek when both teams met in the semi-final of the Copa del Rey, Ernesto Valverde’s side completely stole the show and handed Madrid a 3-0 drubbing at the Santiago Bernabeu. This has led to talks by a section of fans that Madrid are struggling due to the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo last summer. The Portuguese helped the club win a host of trophies during his nine-year stay in the Spanish capital. However, Real Madrid have often lacked bite in the attacking third in Ronaldo’s absence. Indeed, Los Blancos are yet to win in the Clasico since Ronaldo joined Juventus. In four games this season against Barcelona, Madrid have lost thrice and drawn the other. But Real Madrid’s recent woes appear to delight most fans of the Portuguese. Following the club’s latest loss to Barca, most Ronaldo fans took to Twitter to taunt and mock Santiago Solari’s men. Others also decided to uses memes to drum home their point that it was wrong for Madrid to sell their superstar attacker.Los Blancos still possess a very decent squad, but the problem is that most players have so far failed to step up. Aside from Karim Benzema, the likes of Gareth Bale, Isco and Toni Kroos have been badly out of form in recent weeks. So without further ado, let’s take a look at some of the troll tweets as Real Madrid lost to Barcelona for the second time in a week:Real madrid without Ronaldo#ElClasico pic.twitter.com/g8GkEGoCn9— JudgementDay (@nelsonation_) March 3, 2019When you ask Real Madrid fans if they miss Ronaldo #RMAFCB pic.twitter.com/rSqyZQZbDK— SANSHEY (@sanshtheman10) March 3, 2019Looks like Real Madrid are in their Banter Era again after Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid Banter Era - 2003-2009Cristiano Ronaldo RMA 2009-2018Real Madrid Banter Era 2018-🙌🏽 pic.twitter.com/W3wPktXsU2— FutBrain (@footybraingg) February 28, 2019Real Madrid without Cristiano Ronaldo are just a rich Osasuna.#ElClascio— CRonaldoDaily.com (@BreatheRonaldo) March 2, 2019wE dOn'T nEeD rOnAlDo pic.twitter.com/METMygSN7i— Rafael Veiga (@maisrockroll) March 2, 2019‘Don’t bring up Ronaldo after every loss’Yes, I should, yes, we should.
