Arsenal has confirmed Ramsey's move

After months of speculation about whether Aaron Ramsey will extend his contract with Arsenal, once Unai Emery came in, it seemed obvious that the Welsh midfielder was going to be leaving the club. It's been more than 10 years since Ramsey first joined the club as a teenager in 2008. He had multiple long injury spells during his career and they severely limited his appearances for the club.

The most memorable thing that he has done for the Gunners was probably to score the winning goal in two FA Cup finals and eventually help his team lift the trophy. Just as Arsene Wenger has done well in the FA Cup competition, Ramsey has done the same thing too.

Emery and the board seemed determined to let go of the midfielder as seen in the development in recent months. It was reported that when Ramsey was ready to sign the contract, it was withdrawn and there was no longer a deal available for him.

His move to Juventus in the upcoming summer would see him join one of the world's greatest footballer and manager. Cristiano Ronaldo had joined the Italian club after the World Cup in 2018 and has adapted well to the competition in Serie A. Massimiliano Allegri is the manager, that the Arsenal fans so wanted, to replace Arsene Wenger. Instead, Ramsey is the sole representative from Arsenal who will be playing under Allegri.

Unlike the treatment towards Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez, Ramsey is receiving pretty encouraging and warm responses from the fans who wish him all the best. The 28-year-old is now at the peak of his career and deserves to be playing for one of the best clubs in the world.

Although he probably is not as the same status as the team which formed the Invincibles, Ramsey should be remembered as a club legend and hopefully one day, he would return to the club.

Earlier, the Welsh midfielder released a statement which confirmed his imminent move and thanked Arsenal fans for their unwavering support over the years. Here was how Twitter reacted to the news.
