#2 An unusual reason to get substituted for Timo Werner

Chile v Germany: Final - FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017
Timo Werner asked to be taken off for the most unusual of reasons

"Hearing issues!"

Have you heard a player asking to get subbed off because of the incessant noise in a stadium? This exactly happened inside Vodafone Arena, the home of Besiktas.

RB Leipzig were playing in their first ever away Champions League game but it started in the worst possible way for them as their star striker, Timo Werner requested to be substituted after just 21 minutes on the clock.

The astonishing reason behind it being the cacophony inside the stadium created by the home crowd. Besiktas have one of the most intimidating atmospheres at the home ground which was proved once again against Leipzig.

Werner was seen wearing earplugs and also covering his ears with his hands at one point. Werner was subsequently taken off with manager Ralph Hasenhuttl conceding that his team was affected by the deafening sound inside the stadium.
