CB- Rob Holding- 7

Rob Holding's calm and assuring presence is exactly what a volatile Arsenal back-line needs. The Englishman was solid at the back, snuffing out any danger and was reliable in his passing. He needs to be starting Premier League games at the earliest if Arsenal is to improve defensively.

LB- Kieran Tierney- 8

Tierney looks a really exciting prospect at left-back. The Scot is a great defender and bombs forward with intent. Unlike Sead Kolasinac, Tierney also has the technical ability to cross well and combine with his teammates. Tierney assisted the Gunners' first goal and if this is a sign of things to come Arsenal fans should be really excited.

Kieran Tierney was a constant threat for Stanadard Liege with his overlapping runs and crosses.

CM- Lucas Torreira- 6

Torreira was solid in shielding the defence but did not really do much otherwise. While defensive midfield is his best position, he does not have the passing range or physicality to play there alone which leads to the question as to whether the Uruguayan will feature in the first team

CM- Dani Ceballos- 8

Ceballos scored his first goal for Arsenal and dominated proceedings in midfield. His quality was too much for Standard Liege to deal with which enabled him to play in a more advanced role. Without Mesut Ozil, Ceballos is the best creator for Arsenal.
