There have been quite a few incidents when we have seen Cristiano Ronaldo getting angry and frustrated on the field and even off it. After Real Madrid’s away clash with PSG was finished, he was singled out for a doping test by UEFA's anti-doping control officers.
The Portuguese forward was frustrated by their approach and threw his arms up in annoyance. The Madrid star said in Spanish, “Siempre yo”, which means ‘Always me’ in English.
Los Blancos played out a 0-0 draw against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League Group A match and this was the first time since 2008 that Real has failed to score a goal in a group stage match in the Champions League.
The Portuguese also endured a disappointing night, especially after he missed the game’s best chance in the second half when his left-footed shot went wide. The La Liga giants were without the injured Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez in the match.
Ronaldo had once called a journalist ‘unintelligent’ back in February, after Real’s 4-0 loss to local rivals Atletico Madrid after he was irritated by the journalist’s question about an incident which happened three months before the interview. There have been other on-field incidents as well when Ronaldo has shown frustration towards his teammates. His reaction when Arbeloa scored a goal against Almeria, a match in which he failed to get on the score sheet, also drew a lot of flak.
However, one can argue that it is his desire to score goals which makes him react in such manner. The former Manchester United star has scored 324 goals in 311 matches for Real Madrid and is currently the club’s all-time top scorer.
