Video: Hull City's comic goal against Manchester City is very FIFA-like

David Meyler celebrates scoring his team's first goal during Hull City’s Premier League tie against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester

Hull City’s David Meyler scored a droll goal during his side’s 1-1 draw against second-placed Manchester City away from home when he would go on to score the opening goal of the match after several attempts on the goal would bounce back from the net.

The goal is very identical to the ones we usually score while playing FIFA – some horrible defending from the Manchester City defensive line leading to Joe Hart coming up with a save to deny Livermore. The rebound would then find Gaston Ramirez handling the ball while dribbling past three defenders, only to have his shot denied by the post.

Luckily for them, Meyler was left unmarked as he would slot the ball past Hart from the rebound.

The goal came in the 35th minute of the match before City substitute James Milner would go on to equalise for the Blues with a nicely placed free-kick. The draw means that City are now seven points behind league leaders Chelsea who registered a 1-2 win over Aston Villa on the other end.
