Jurgen Klopp is a man who wants his team to play with emotion. The German himself is a very enthusiastic person and has a lot of passion when it comes to football. He’s also come to be known for his infamous laugh.
After the Liverpool game in midweek, Klopp spoke about his team’s efforts on the pitch. Coincidently Bayern also lost that same night to Mainz Klopp’s old club. When Klopp was asked about what he thinks about the performances of other clubs in the Premier League he didn‘t have a moment’s hesitation to mention his old rival’s loss.
The German burst out in laughter after hearing the news, when others would have probably been more subtle. But that's why he is adored by everyone. The 48-year-old always tells it as it is. He is very frank about his opinion and has an infectious personality.
Klopp was in a good mood for a reason after the Reds got revenge for their League Cup defeat by tearing Manchester City to shreds in a 3-0 victory. Liverpool are now eighth in the table on 41 points with a top 6 finish looking likely.
When Klopp was asked to speak about their performance he delivered a response in his classic style.
Speaking to BT Sport he said, ”It was for sure our best home game (since I arrived). The best word that I can say to describe this is ‘boom’!‘Wooohh’ what was this?! It was really good”
Dortmund face Bayern in top of the table clash
Klopp’s old side Dortmund have now closed the gap on leaders Bayern Munich to just 5 points. That gap could become even smaller if Dortmund manage to defeat the Bavarians this weekend as the two giants face off in the Bundesliga.
We can be pretty sure Klopp will be pleased with that result!
