How a win can change things! The Capital One Cup final between Tottenham and Chelsea saw Jose Mourinho in a relaxed mood, as he decided to share a light and playful moment with the media.
The fact that his team was winning obviously helped ‘the Special One’s’ cause. The Portuguese shared a cheeky smile with a cameraman on the sidelines after squirting water at his camera.
It was a rare sight, considering that Mourinho has been at his bitter best lately, incessantly complaining to the media about a ‘campaign’ against his team by the officials.
Chelsea overcame Tottenham 2-0 at Wembley, to lift the Capital One Cup on Sunday. Mourinho seemed to be in a jovial mood after a second half own goal by Kyle Walker handed the Blues a two-goal cushion and the Blues managed to hold onto the lead. The win was Mourinho’s first title after a two-year barren spell.
The weekend also saw their closest rivals Manchester City drop points on the day, after Manuel Pellegrini’s side lost 2-1 to Liverpool. The result sets up Chelsea with a comfortable five-point-lead at the top of the Premier League, with a game in hand. No wonder Jose was in such a good mood.
Following the win, Mourinho pulled out another hilarious moment when the team were celebrating with the trophy, as he lay down on the ground to join the celebrations!
