Virat Kohli has a new supporter in Gareth Bale, for his new business venture

Indian Test captain, Virat Kohli's new business venture, Sport Convo, received a supporter in the form of Real Madrid star, Gareth Bale. The 27-year-old batsman took to Twitter to reveal Bale's support for Sport Convo.

Sport Convo is a London-based social networking start-up venture, launched by Kohli, in order to give sports fans a platform to connect and interact about various sports events that happen across the globe. This is Kohli's second venture following his co-ownership of Indian Super League (ISL) club, FC Goa.

On his Twitter account, Kohli introduced Bale's support in a creative manner asking his followers to guess who backed his venture after posting an image of a heart sign as a clue. In the tweet that followed, Kohli revealed Real Madrid midfielder, Gareth Bale as the supporter. Bale's goal celebration, where he displays a heart sign, was the clue Kohli gave his followers.

Bale came out in support of Kohli's new venture speaking about how he followed cricket and how he is a fan of Virat Kohli.

“Quite an interesting story really, I have been a fan of cricket for ages and started following Virat Kohli, we got talking over social and he mentioned this idea called "Sport Convo" that he was starting, he sent me more detail on it and I instantly really liked it,” Bale said.

Kohli described what he hoped Sport Convo would bring to sports fans everywhere. The Indian Test captain saw it as a great opportunity to communicate with his fans in an effective manner. It is a well-known fact that Kohli follows Real Madrid and is a huge Cristiano Ronaldo fan.

“Sport Convo was particularly attractive to me as my belief is sport benefits greatly from social media.It provides fans with the opportunity to showcase their opinions and passion for the game. Also allowing me to communicate with my fans quickly and efficiently, which is important as a professional cricketer I am always on the go.

“Sport Convo stood out for me and delivers all of this and beyond and that's why I opted to back this business venture. As you may know, I'm a Real Madrid fan and it’s good to be working with Gareth Bale now on Sport Convo. There is a lot of mutual respect between us and I'm glad to have him on board,” Kohli explained.

The CEO and co-founder of Sport Convo, Vishal Patel expressed his delight at signing up with two big stars in their respective games. He also revealed that the company was in talks with other famous personalities in order to get more backing for Sport Convo.

“Everyone involved in the business are sports fans. We have built and will continue to build a platform where sports fans can consume sport content and interact with content and fellow fans in a highly unique way,” Patel said.
