The current season of the popular video game has a medieval theme. Owing to this, Epic Games has added several weapons with a Gothic feel such as the Shockwave Hammer and Ex-calibur Rifle.

Both of these are very popular and players can combine them with other items for additional effect. However, limitations do exist as to what players can do with them.

Here are eight busted myths in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1.

1) Super launch not possible with the Shockwave Hammer

The Shockwave Hammer is the best mobility item in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 by a large margin. With it, players can run away quickly from any fight and don't have to worry about the storm.

Regrettably, it is impossible to combine the Shockwave Hammer with a Launch Pad for additional effect. Players have tried this in the past, but their efforts bore no fruit.

Murmurs within the community had hinted that players could use the hammer to perform a super launch with a Launch Pad. This additional effect would have helped players fly much higher and even faster. Tragically, these two items do not affect each other.

2) Bowling is impossible at the moment

The new Fortnite map has brought many locations that have never been seen before. Faulty Splits has already become a favorite among players as it offers abundant loot.

The location is a binary split that lets players choose between the urban and the houses sections, based on their preference. The urban part has a bowling alley, but players cannot interact with it.

Using toys, such as golf balls, does nothing, which is disappointing.

3) Capture point timings are not affected by teammates

Every named location in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 has a capture point. By securing it, players gain premium loot and are also able to see chests and enemies through walls.

Unfortunately, capture points are not affected by teammates. This means that the 45-second time limit will remain unaffected irrespective of the number of players capturing it.

Initially, it took 60 seconds to capture a point in the new season. However, Epic Games decreased this time by 15 seconds with a December 9 hotfix.

4) Dirt Bikes cannot be equipped with off-road tires

Dirt Bikes have been released with Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, and they are amazing. They run seamlessly on any terrain, which makes them fantastic for moving quickly around the map.

Unfortunately, players cannot equip Dirt Bikes with Chonkers off-road tires. Although adding these tires wouldn't make sense since the bikes already have off-road tires, players have tried to do it.

5) Fireflies cannot melt snowballs

The snow biome in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is very fun, and players can use snowballs for mobility and surprise attacks.

What makes snowballs so fun is the fact that they can fit multiple players inside. This makes them well-suited for stealth attacks against unsuspecting enemies.

Regrettably, it turns out that snowballs do not react to fireflies. Upon throwing Firefly Jars at snowballs, players observed no effect. This understandably disappointed them as one would expect fire to melt snow.

6) Wildlife cannot gain infinite stamina from Slap Berries

Epic Games added Fortnite wildlife in Chapter 2 and made them rideable in Chapter 3. Boars and wolves are amazing for providing mobility, especially in off-road topography.

With the release of Chapter 4, Epic has released Slap Berries. These consumable items are very useful as they restore effective health to players and also temporarily give them infinite stamina.

Unfortunately, it is untenable to give these consumables to boars and wolves to give them the same effect. While these animals can consume Slap Berries, they have no effect on them.

7) Rocket riding with Ex-calibur Rifle is not possible

The Ex-calibur Rifle is one of the most unique weapons in Fortnite Battle Royale. It is a marksman rifle that shoots swords that stick to enemies and deal a lot of damage.

While the swords have a solid texture, players cannot use them for rocket riding. This has been attempted by many but to no avail.

Fortunately, Epic Games has brought the Rocket Launcher back, allowing players to perform rocket rides and make amazing game-winning clips!

8) Midas' touch is broken for some items

Midas is arguably the most popular character in Fortnite history. As many players are aware, everything that he touches turns into gold, but that's not accurate for several items in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1.

The Shockwave Hammer and Ex-calibur Rifle are unaffected by Midas' touch. In lieu of turning them into gold, Midas has no effect on these two items as their textures and wraps remain the same.
