The Fortnite 2023 competitive season has officially kicked off with the first day of FNCS Major 1, which concluded yesterday. Pros from all over the world jacked in and dropped onto the brand-new island for the first time while participating in a significant Fortnite tournament in Chapter 4.

Amongst several pros, a few veterans are also gearing up with their years of experience and impeccable skill sets to reclaim their mettle in the Fortnite competitive scene. The pros have played in almost every major tournament and have emerged victorious, winning several cash cups in their region and in global leagues.

While there are a bunch of pros you can watch crank those nasty 90s on the looped island, it would surely be interesting to see how they would use the latest Oathbound items, and Reality Augments at their disposal to grab the glorious Victory Royale.

PeterBot is a professional esports athlete who was previously signed to Tru North Gaming as a Fortnite player. Over the previous few years, he has participated in major regional cash cups and has won several of them.

Since departing from Tru North, he has teamed up with Bugha as his Duos partner in almost every major Fortnite tournament, where both clutched several games and cash cups. This time, he has also teamed up with Bugha to go against other pros in FNCS Major 1, and with his quick skills at piece control, he is one of the top pros to watch this competitive season.

2) Bugha

The one and only Fortnite World Cup champion returns to the FNCS to prove his mettle with the other pros this competitive season. Bugha teamed up with his Duo PeterBot to clutch a Victory Royale and dreams of winning yet another major accolade for his many cash cup wins in Fortnite.

Bugha's game over the past few months has insanely improved as his shots are far more accurate, and with his control over the current loot pool of Chapter 4, he is a force to be reckoned with. Fans who religiously follow the pro player might want to watch out for his matches and his domination over his competitors during FNCS Major 1.

3) Kami

FNCS Invitational 2022 winner Kami will also return this season with his Duo partner Setty, whom he won the tournament with last year. Kami is all geared up for his control over Reality Augments and the Mythic Pistol, which is mostly his go-to weapon.

He and Setty aim to set another benchmark in the competitive scene of Fortnite by winning two FNCS tournaments back-to-back and defeating all the pros that come their way. Although Kami's game has improved over the past few months, Setty has been in the backseat with his elimination count this season.

4) EpikWhale

A legend of TSM, EpikWhale made his competitive return to prove his worth as one of the top pro players in the Fortnite scene. While not in the limelight in the 2022 competitive season, EpikWhale aims to make a victorious return in FNCS 2023 with his Duo partner Reet. He constantly aims to get as many eliminations as possible in a single Battle Royale match.

His quick editing and combat skills will be enjoyable for his fans and viewers as his games are high-speed and combat heavy, and his control over his builds is something amateurs should take a lesson from.

5) Anas

The winner of the $1 Million Mr. Beast's Fortnite Challenge, Anas represents his esports organization Guild as an official competitor for FNCS 2023. He is teaming up with a fellow Guild roster, Hen, who also holds a stunning record of 18 cash-cup wins.

While Anas proved his skills in the Creative challenge, it would be interesting to see how he goes against seasoned pros in Battle Royale and if he would be worthy of being deemed an all-round Fortnite champion.

6) Trashy

Trashy is a pro-Fortnite player who plays in the NA-West region and is known for his high elimination count during Arena games. His technique of constantly being on the move around the island is unique and has been applauded by several pros in the community.

He has previously won several regional cash cups and is now on the path to becoming an FNCS champion with his Duo partner PXMP from Elite Esports. Trashy is one of the few underrated pros that is undoubtedly fun to watch as he likes to take on some of the most prominent players in the Fortnite community.

7) Veno

FNCS Invitational 2022 runner-up Veno is back this time to claim the big prize and has been up to a bunch of new techniques where he combines Reality Augments with his movement and inventory loot.

Veno is mostly seen in 1v1 battles with other pros on his live streams as he has been gearing up with his long-time Duos partner Queasy to clutch the big prize at FNCS 2023.

8) Queasy

Queasy was another runner-up at the FNCS Invitational 2022 and has been a long-time Duo partner to Veno since 2021. Both have participated and won across several cash cups over the years and missed a close shot at winning the big prize.

He has returned to the competitive scene and aims to win big in the FNCS 2023, already reigning on his regional leaderboard in Major 1. It would be a tough fight between him and the other pros, as Queasy considers the tournament a "final chance at redemption."
