Fortnite XP glitches still work as of Chapter 4 Season 1. Although most of them are not worth the effort, they do provide a decent amount of XP to players. However, given the time needed to reap the rewards from XP glitches, it's arguably faster to play battle royale or Team Rumble modes to earn experience points.

That said, players do need to be wary of certain XP glitches. While most are harmless and will either provide large amounts of XP or turn out to be clickbait, some can get users banned. While it will be on a temporary basis, it could leave a dent in the spotless track record.

Even so, there are a few things that players can do to ensure that they are not banned while using glitches. While the guidelines may bend in certain areas, they will hold true in most scenarios.

How to safely use Fortnite XP glitches in Chapter 4 Season 1

The first step to safely using Fortnite XP glitches in-game is to understand the nature of the glitch. For instance, earning XP in Creative mode by remaining AFK on a certain map or pressing "secret buttons," will 99.99% of the time not lead to a ban.

Since Epic Games is responsible for checking XP accolades on the map, any extras found by players cannot be considered an "in-game offense." However, this may not be the case for the creator of the given map. Nevertheless, players cannot be banned for using Fortnite XP glitches found on Creative maps.

On that note, given that most XP maps don't give players the mentioned amount of XP, for the most part, they are useless. Unless the Creative map is truly broken, players are better off playing proper Creative maps to earn XP.

The next thing to be wary of is the method by which the glitch is activated. Unlike normal Fortnite XP glitches that can be activated in-game, certain other glitches require a bot to work. These Discord bots boost players and allow them to farm XP faster.

The two most recent bots allowed players to gain Supercharged XP and grant them access to yet-to-be-released LTMs. The former bot merely allowed players to gain XP faster by providing a ridiculous amount of Supercharged XP. Although this glitch was broken in every way, Epic Games did not ban players for using it.

However, another glitch that allowed players to access LTMs using the bot, saw hundreds if not thousands of players banned. Despite the former glitch allowing players to earn more XP, the latter caused players to be banned.

Having said all that, players will have to be careful while using certain types of glitches. Anything that may allow them to bypass certain protocols put in place by Epic Games can and will lead to a ban.

For the most part, it's best to stick to Creative Fortnite XP glitches or use only bot-related glitches if they are deemed 100% safe. Even so, it's hard to tell which Fortnite XP glitches are completely safe as some could get players banned.
