Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 trailer reveals new boss, locations, and weapons
Theme and environment
The map looks like an interesting fusion of the classic Fortnite biomes with Japanese culture. In the trailer, we can also see a glimpse of Mount Fuji which seems to be out of bounds.
Moreover, we can see a Japanese Temple POI which would likely be a Named Location on the Fortnite map. It looks like a Neo Tilted-inspired Named Location is also getting added to the game, with some Japanese influence and bullet trains.
We can also see a futuristic bridge and large and colorful flowerbeds that could be fun to explore.
New bosses
It looks like the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 will have multiple giant NPC bosses. Most of them have a Japanese touch: Samurai, Aspidochelone (a giant turtle with an island on its back), and an Oni-themed boss. Behind the giant turtle, we can see floating purple islands that could indicate the return of Kevin The Cube.
While the promotional banner confirmed the Godzilla x Fortnite collaboration, a lot of players thought it to be only part of the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass as a cosmetic item. However, the trailer shows that Godzilla would be the largest boss on the map, which looks quite difficult to defeat.
You can also meet the armored Baymax from Disney's Big Hero 6 and do the cute iconic "Balala" hand-fist in-game.
New weapons, items, and creatures
The Katana is returning to the game at the perfect time, with chances that the Paper Bomb Kunai will be added as well.
We can also see new cute and bouncy creatures in multiple scenes that seem to be harmless. They could be pets that give you a small portion of health when interacted with.
A new Oni-inspired Mythic can be seen in both orange and purple color flames. Although the abilities are not confirmed yet, it looks like it gives you an increased health bar with throwable fireballs temporarily.
The Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 will start after the end of the Chapter 2 Remix The Finale event on December 1, 2024. If you did not know, you can claim the free Juice WRLD skin in the game by simply logging in to the game between November 30, 2024, to December 1, 2024.
