According to veteran leaker @HYPEX, the Paper Bomb Kunai Mythic item could return in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. This is based on leaked promotional images of the upcoming Battle Pass. On the left of the image, a new variant of the character known as Hope can be seen holding a Kunai in each hand.
The unknown character in the middle is wielding what is presumably a "Masamune Blade", along with a Pet Back Bling (which is rumored to make a return as well). There is no information about who the character on the extreme right could be. There might be a possible connection to the Fox Clan, but that cannot be confirmed yet.

Paper Bomb Kunai could be part of something larger in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
The return of the Paper Bomb Kunai would be much appreciated by the FN community, as the item is directly linked to the popular Naruto franchise. The Mythic was added to the loot pool in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 as part of the collaboration with Naruto. Both the item and the character (Naruto Uzumaki) haven't been seen in the game since 2022.
Given the theme for Chapter 6 Season 1 which is slated to revolve around Japanese mythology and samurai, Naruto would fit in well. Bringing back the characters would add a lot of flavor to the season. Moreover, if Epic Games reworks the Paper Bomb Kunai to pack a bit more punch, it would be amazing to use the item again after two years of it being out of rotation.
That said, there is no inkling of the item being present on the recently leaked Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 key art. Knowing Epic Games, they could be trying to keep things under wraps. However, there's also the possibility that the Kunai in Hope's hands are merely present for artistic purposes and nothing else.
Nevertheless, Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 has a lot of crossover and collaborations all linked to Japan. As such, Naruto may very well make a comeback alongside the Paper Bomb Kunai. Interestingly, this Mythic would pair nicely with the upcoming "HookShot" mobility/movement item.
