The D-Launcher in Fortnite is a unidirectional fixed mobility device that's capable of propelling players high into the air and providing them with immunity to fall damage. They are generally used for quick mobility as well as for reaching high ground in a short amount of time.

With Chapter 3 Season 4 coming to an end, the developers are encouraging players to use these devices one last time. That said, those who manage to use the D-Launcher at Shimmering Shrine or Cloudy Condos will be rewarded with 20,000 experience points.

A step-by-step guide on how to use a D-Launcher at Shimmering Shrine or Cloudy Condos in Fortnite

1) Choose a good drop location to start

The first thing that players want to do is mark the location in which they want to land. This will help them get a clear idea as to when to jump from the Battle Bus and dive towards the drop site.

With that said, landing near Shimmering Shrine or Cloudy Condos would be the ideal choice. A good location is the landmark known as Colossal Cactus. It's located between both the POIs and offers plenty of loot in the early-game for players to properly gear up.

Once done, the next step will be to decide which POI is better. While many will choose Cloudy Condos due to the amount of loot that's available, Shimmering Shine is better for tactical reasons.

2) Approach the POI cautiously

After gearing up, players will have to decide which of the two POIs they want to secure. As mentioned, Shimmering Shrines is better due to the fact that there's a D-Launcher on the western edge of the POI. Rather than walking through the POI, players can find one on the outskirts. Why is this important, readers may ask?

Well, with the Fortnite Avian Ambush Week Challenges live, players can 'kill two birds with one D-Launcher.' Within the vicinity of Colossal Cactus, they should be able to find a chicken. They can grab it and approach the D-Launcher just outside Shimmer Shrines to complete two challenges at once.

That said, while there is a D-Launcher in the open at Cloudy Condos as well, opponents on higher ground will be able to easily anyone below. If there's an enemy with good aim camping on top of the floating platforms, players may encounter heavy fire while approaching the D-Launcher.

3) Step onto the D-Launcher to complete the challenge

After grabbing the chicken, players will have to move northwest to reach the D-Launcher. Given how oddly they are shaped, spotting them from a distance shouldn't be too difficult.

Once in position, all that's left to do is step onto the D-Launcher's platform and fly across the sky with a chicken in hand. Thanks to the added mobility from the chicken, players should be able to cross a lot of terrain with ease.
