Fortnite: How to dance within 20 meters of an enemy player for 3 seconds

For some reason, Epic Games really wants players to dance for today's (October 29) Fortnitemare challenges. While it is easy XP in exchange for busting out a dance move, it seems rather silly. Thus, to make things interesting, players will have to dance within 20-meters of an enemy player for three seconds.

Although this shouldn't be a challenge as such, dancing produces sound. Opponents can hear the said sound and will attack immediately. This makes things rather interesting and dangerous at the same time. Nevertheless, for the sake of experience points, the task must be completed.

How to dance within 20 meters of an enemy player for 3 seconds in Fortnite: A step-by-step guide

1) Land on the edge of a hot-drop POI

To complete this challenge quickly, you will have to land on the edges of hot-drop POIs. Tilted Towers and Cloudy Condos are both viable locations. The goal here will be simple: avoid being detected while landing.

This will allow you to go unnoticed by aggressive opponents and buy you time to get into a good position. Furthermore, by remaining inconspicuous, it makes it easier to loot without having to worry about being followed.

2) Be sneaky, find basic gear, and stockpile healing supplies

Once the landing phase is over, the next step is to secure proper gear. You can do this in one of two ways. You can either look for floor loot and hope to find decent gear or take a bit of a risk and look for chests.

Since this Fortnite challenge is not combat-oriented but focused on survival, finding healing items is a must. You should stockpile as many healing items as possible, as they'll no doubt come in handy later on.

3) Look for a cluster of opponents and get close to them

Once the gear has been secured, the next step of the Fortnite challenge will be to find a cluster of opponents. While this is indeed risky, more opponents ensure higher odds of success.

To avoid being detected, crouching while walking is advisable. Lastly, if possible, you should try to stay indoors while remaining within 20-meters of your opponents. This will provide an added layer of protection if things go south.

4) Emote when possible and rotate as soon as it's over

To complete this challenge in Fortnite, you will have to emote for three seconds. Given that emotes produce sound, choosing one that is as quiet as possible is a good idea. Hopefully, the sound of gunfire will mask the sound effects of the emote.

Once you're done emoting and the challenge is checked off the list, rotate out of the area to avoid being bogged down in a gunfight. Depending on the POI, the safest way out will be via balloons or zip lines.
