The Herald skin is finally available in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. The long-awaited secret skin has been unlocked, thanks to the most recent weekly update. Following in the footsteps of the Prowler, Superman, The Foundation, and more, all of the cosmetics can be unlocked by completing challenges if you have the Battle Pass.

Each challenge comes with a reward but does not have any seasonal XP attached to it. For XP, you will have to complete weekly, daily, and other challenges.

One of the challenges for a cosmetic in the Fortnite Herald's set is to get Chrome-ified while driving. This can be a little tricky, so here's how to do it.

Fortnite Herald Quests: Getting Chrome-ified while driving a vehicle

There are two methods that can be used, but they both have the same first step.

Step 1: Find a car

Cars can spawn in a lot of different places on the map. In fact, they will be available at nearly every POI and many of the landmarks around the map.

However, certain places have more cars and are generally more accessible. For instance, Chonker's Speedway always has four Whiplash cars available. These are the fastest cars in the game, which is an added bonus. The gas station in the middle of the map also has options and it's probably a better place to land based on the next step(s).

Step 2: Have a friend with a Chrome Splash (Option 1)

This option requires a friend or a group of friends. This will need to be done in Duos, Trios, or Squads. Chrome Splashes can be used while driving to turn the vehicle and everyone inside it into chrome.

Chrome Splashes appear in Chrome Chests, which can be found in Chrome-covered POIs like Herald's Sanctum, Shimmering Shrine, and Chrome Crossroads.

Once you have the Chrome Splashes, get in the car and begin driving. While you're driving, have your teammate lean out the window by aiming with the Chrome Splash. Have them aim at the car and throw it. If it lands on the car, it should turn them, the car, and everyone in it to Chrome.

Drive into the tornado (Option 2)

This method is much simpler and does not require any friends. Once you have a car, head to the tornado. This is most easily accomplished if you land near the tornado and find a car nearby.

The tornado will spawn in different locations in each match. Check the Fortnite map for its location prior to landing. Either way, once you have a car from somewhere, drive to the tornado.

Once you get close enough, the tornado will do two things. First, it will lift you and your Fortnite vehicle up in the air. Second, it will also cover you and the car in Chrome, which will meet the requirements of this Fortnite challenge.
