Fortnite: How to travel distance using the Spider-Verse Web Shooters

Fortnite's Spider-Verse crossover has officially arrived and introduced two new key things. For starters, the Find the Force event is done and gone, and secondly, the Mythic Web Shooters from the first Spider-Man collaboration have returned. They are the subject of one of the challenges that dropped during this event, which is to travel 500 meters with them.

Fortunately, that's not a difficult challenge to complete, but this guide will walk you through a step-by-step look at how you can easily accomplish this.

Step 1: Head to Mega City to find the Web Shooters

Many leaks suggest that the Mythic Web Shooters for the Across the Spider-Verse event will be found in backpacks in Mega City. Just like the original crossover had them spawn frequently in the Daily Bugle, now it appears they will be in Mega City for the most part. They will also be found in backpacks in other places sparingly around the map.

Conversely, they may also be available from the ground, so keep your eyes peeled for any Web Shooters you see and be sure to pick them up.

Step 2: Find an area with either a lot of buildings or a lot of trees

Mega City is a decent place to attempt this challenge because it has a ton of buildings. However, there are also many people, so swinging around there can easily put you in harm's way. A heavily wooded area is a good one to look for since it will have trees to swing off of but not the heavy traffic of a major POI. Either way, get to your preferred area and start swinging around with the Fortnite Web Shooters.

Once you start swinging, do not stop if at all possible. This challenge requires you to swing for 500 meters, so getting as much distance as possible is best. If you release and fall to the ground, you must wait for the cooldown before you begin swinging again. The challenge doesn't require all the swinging to be done at once, but it is easier to get it all done in one attempt if possible.

There are a few things to note regarding the new Spider-Verse Mythic Web Shooters. First, they're unlimited. The first version of them that came out in Chapter 3 Season 1, with the first Spider-Man skin, had 80 shots before they went away. These, based on early looks at them, have infinite shots.

Second, you cannot hold them while also holding Fortnite ODM Gear. That's the other Mythic from this season since Levi Ackerman from Attack on Titan is in the battle pass. Unfortunately, the two items are not allowed to be in the same loadout.
