Fortnite kills Meowscles, again

Meowscles is one of the most beloved characters in Fortnite Battle Royale, who first appeared on the island with Midas as his favorite pet and agent. However, he grew beyond Midas' shadow to be a character central to the lore. Unfortunately, Epic Games has killed Meowscles once again.

Along with the Fortnitemares 2022 update, the developers added an Easter egg. Several gravestones called 'Spooky Gravestones' are now strewn across the map. One of these, located on an island west of Tilted Towers, is dedicated to Meowscles. This is the third time Epic Games has killed Meowscles, and fans are extremely worried.

Similar to every cat, Meowscles also has nine lives. However, according to the Spooky Gravestone, Meowascles has now lost three out of his nine lives. Unfortunately, it is unclear what caused the popular character's death. Meowscles' death might be related to the ongoing storyline, and he could be entirely consumed by the Chrome.

Meowscles suffers his third death in Fortnite

The first time Meowscles was killed was during the Zero Crisis event after the Chapter 2 Season 5 finale. The popular character tried to take on the mighty Predator and punched him in the face. Unfortunately, Meowscles was no match for the greatest hunter in cinema history and was quite possibly killed at that very moment.

Meowscles' second death is still a mystery. He did get into some scuffles during the Marvel Zero War comics as the island was trying to fight the threat from Geno. However, there were no Easter eggs or clues suggesting his death. Once again, Epic Games has remained quiet on why the popular character died for the third time.

After his three deaths, Meowscles only has six lives remaining. Given that he has died thrice in a span of less than a Chapter, it is concerning how quickly he might run out of his remaining lives. Clearly, the humanoid muscular calico cat must be careful and look after his son Kit.

The adorable muscular cat has always been a fan favorite since Epic Games introduced him to the Battle Royale game. Players have enjoyed getting Victory Royales using his skin and have loved to see his story progress. Naturally, receiving the news of his death has been hard on the community, and a lot of them have expressed their sadness.

Besides grieving his death, many fans also tried to come up with theories on how the popular character died for the third time. Many think Meowscles was killed right before Fortnitemares 2022 to bring back a shadow/zombie version of him.

Hopefully, Epic Games will come up with a proper explanation as to why Meowscles died and bring him back. Players will hope that his fourth life is a lot longer than his previous three and that he can live a bit longer to entertain the Fortnite community.
