Fortnite player is working on recreating a fan-favorite LTM from Chapter 2

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is arguably the greatest season of all time. According to community votes on fortnite.gg, the season still ranks first with 87.53% of positive votes. To put it into perspective, Chapter 4 Season 2 is ranked fourth with a 76.67% rating. Due to this, it's no surprise that one player is working on recreating a fan-favorite limited-time game mode from the popular season.

Chapter 2 Season 2 was quite revolutionary. It was the first season that introduced Mythic bosses and NPCs, as well as their Mythic weapons. This turned out to be the right move, as Epic Games has kept bosses in the game ever since then.

During the season, there were two factions in the game: Ghost and Shadow. These factions were also crucial to Spy Games, a limited-time game mode that was available throughout the season. DionPowder, a talented Fortnite creator, is recreating the game mode.

The Spy Games mode was all about the fight between Ghost and Shadow. In addition to this, the limited-time game mode included special technology, which allowed players to choose certain perks while playing the game.

There were four different sections of Spy Games:

• Operation: Dropzone
• Operation: Knockout
• Operation: Payload
• Operation: Inflitration

DionPowder, a talented Fortnite creator, has already recreated Operation: Dropzone in UEFN. This is a fully-functional mode that is based on the gun game mode. It can be played in both single and multiplayer.

However, the creator has now decided to bring Operation: Payload back to the game. It's being recreated in the Creative 2.0 (UEFN).

As you can see in the video above, the mode is still in development. That said, it appears that the talented creator has already scripted the most important part of the mode, which is moving or stopping the payload.

The payload is supposed to move from point A to point B. However, it can only be moved or stopped when players are close to it, which seems to be working with no issues.

The attacking team has to move the payload to its final destination, while the defending team has to stop it from moving. This was arguably the most interesting limited-time game mode in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2, which is why many players are looking forward to its return.

The creator hasn't revealed when exactly the custom map will be published. However, considering the map is already functional, it will likely come out within a few weeks.
