Fortnite has slowly amassed a huge catalog of collaborations over the years. Although collaborations weren't a big part of the game until about 2019, they've quickly become rather commonplace.

Some of them are excellent, like the Marvel skins or the Mandalorian battle pass. Others are forgettable, such as the Balenciaga crossover or the one with Ferrari. Not all of them are hits, as these Redditors pointed out.

In fact, it might be arguable that Epic Games has missed on collaborations more times than they've nailed them. There have been plenty of good ones, but arguably just as many bad ones.

Fortnite Redditors discuss which collaboration was the worst

One Redditor posted a question about which Fortnite crossover has been the worst. The comments section was filled with responses, highlighting how many misses Epic Games has had.

They believe the worst was the Bad Boys crossover, which only had one skin per character, and it was a very bland skin to boot.

One commenter pointed out that the Doctor Who crossover was very minimal at best. The show is incredibly popular and reaches a wide audience, but Epic Games only bothered to make a temporary Creative island when it could have been much more in-depth.

Another took it one step further, saying that the collaborations that didn't get any Item Shop recognition were largely unsuccessful. No one remembers the collabs that there aren't any skins for.

One gamer pointed out that Star Trek might have gotten the most non-existent collaboration in Fortnite history. With just one emote locked in a battle pass, the Star Trek Fortnite crossover is entirely forgettable.

One of the biggest failures in collaboration history has to be the Quibi crossover. Not only was it a useless crossover, but it also came with a failed streaming platform.

The fashion collaborations with Balenciaga and Ralph Lauren were pretty bad according to this Redditor. The Wreck-it Ralph collab, which was a single emote, was also disappointing.

The Matrix is an iconic movie franchise with tons of awesome characters. How the crossover was limited to just a few emotes is beyond this commenter.

A few collaborations have given skins, but bad ones. The Ghostbusters and Cobra Kai collab skins weren't even characters from either franchise.

Another commenter believes two soccer stars were arguably wasted ICON Series skins. No one wears either the Harry Kane or Marco Reus skins. They do wear the generic soccer skins, so it was perhaps a huge missed opportunity.

In one Redditor's opinion, the KAWS crossover produced the worst skin in the entire game.

At the time, the Travis Scott collaboration was fine. It has since aged like milk in the wake of the concert tragedy and controversy. Epic Games even offered refunds for the skin.

When Epic Games takes beloved properties and churns out less-than-stellar skins with them, it disappoints everyone. That's what happened with Tron and Ghostbusters.

Clearly, the community has strong feelings about the crossovers they didn't like. There are also very many that did not land as Fortnite might have wanted.
