How to place the alloy in a Forge Brazier to heat the metal in Fortnite

The latest Oathbound quest requires Fortnite players to place the alloy in a Forge Brazier and heat the metal. The quest is very easy to complete as it simply requires you to interact with an object. However, you may run into some problems while trying to complete it.

You will receive this quest right after you damage metal structures to receive Alloy Pieces. Once you pick up five pieces, you will be required to place the alloy in a Forge Brazier to heat the metal. This can be done in two locations on the island.

You must choose where you want to place the alloy in a Forge Brazier and heat the metal in Fortnite

Before you place the alloy in a Forge Brazier to heat the metal, you will have to select which location you want to do it at.

It's important to note that this Fortnite quest was added with the v23.30 update on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. For this reason, you will have to be very careful when visiting these quest locations, as there is a good chance that many other Fortnite players will be completing the questline.

To place the alloy in a Forge Brazier to heat the metal, please follow these simple steps:

1) Choose your landing location

You can complete the Oathbound quest either at Faulty Splits or Breakwater Bay. While both of these locations are very popular landing spots, we suggest that you pick one that is further away from the Battle Bus.

Additionally, if one of these two places is a Hot Spot, you should pick the other one. Hot Spots in Fortnite are generally very popular, as many players visit them for additional loot.

2) Locate the Forge Brazier and interact with it

If you decide to complete the Fortnite challenge at Faulty Splits, you will have to visit the medieval part of the location. More specifically, the Forge Brazier is located in the northernmost house in the area, where you can find Scrapknight Jules.

Keep in mind that Scrapknight Jules sells a Launch Pad and a Rocket Launcher. If you are surrounded by enemies, you should purchase these items to either fight against them or run away.

The Forge Brazier at Breakwater Bay is located in the southern part of the area. Once you locate it, you simply need to approach it and hold the interact button to complete the challenge.

3) Verify that you completed the challenge

Fortnite quests are sometimes affected by bugs, so you must verify that you have completed the challenge. If you have, you will receive 20,000 XP and get the "Place the heated alloy on an anvil" quest.
