These locations are called Hot Spots and what makes them special is the additional loot they have.

Each Hot Spot in Fortnite has loot drones that fly over the area. By shooting down these drones, you will receive additional loot, including the Shockwave Hammer, one of the most popular weapons in the current season of the video game.

While landing in Hot Spots is a great strategy for getting amazing loot, it is not recommended for beginners.

Epic Games first released Hot Spots in Fortnite Season 9. Like in Chapter 4, these locations had gold names and loot drones flying in the area.

However, each drone dropped Rare (Blue) to Epic (Purple) loot, which made Hot Spots the best landing spots in the game.

Unfortunately, hot spots remained in the game for a bit more than two months as the game developer vaulted them with the release of Season X.

A lot of players were disappointed since Hot Spots made the game much more fun, especially for aggressive players.
