Is a Lil Uzi Vert Fortnite skin in the works? No, and while having him in-game would be entertaining, there's nothing to suggest that Epic Games is working on an Iconic series skin for the rapper. Even leakers have nothing to show on this front.

Given that they sieved through the game files during the update v22.20, if anything was present that even remotely suggested a collaboration, they would have found it by now.

This has left the community confused as the search query "Lil Uzi Vert Fortnite skin" is trending on Google. Why it may seem like an anomaly, there's an explanation for the same. That said, here's why it's been trending.

Why is the term "Lil Uzi Vert Fortnite skin" trending on the internet?

The only possible explanation is that a new outfit called "Bonejamin" resembles the rapper, who's wearing something oddly similar in one of his pictures. Here's a picture for a better comparison. Although this is not an official collaboration, the community seems to think otherwise.

Ever since this outfit was showcased on October 18 during the Fortnitemares 2022 update, the community has been calling it the Lil Uzi Vert Fortnite skin, and this makes a lot of sense, given the similarities.

With the same keywords being repeatedly used on social media across multiple platforms, Google has picked up on this and is treating it as a search query. Thus, it has become a trend over time.

Additionally, some content creators on YouTube suggested that the developers had officially added a Lil Uzi Vert Fortnite skin, spreading the rumors even further.

With all that said, Lil Uzi Vert may be popular with many of those who play the game, but given the fallout after Travis Scott's Astroworld fiasco, Epic Games will likely not be taking another risk.

Will Lil Uzi Vert ever be featured in-game as an Icon series skin?

Those hoping for an official collaboration can lay those dreams to rest. Since the game is PG-13, adding Lil Uzi Vert will not be the best decision, considering that he was charged with multiple felonies earlier this year.

In February, he was charged with assault with a firearm, criminal threats, and domestic violence. To add to the woes, he was even given a misdemeanor charge for carrying a loaded weapon.

Although carrying loaded weapons is okay in Fortnite, it does not bode well in the real world. Such being the case, adding the rapper as an Icon series skin is completely out of the question.

In all likelihood, Epic Games' screening process for Icon series skins has been stepped up since last November's Astroworld incident. The last thing the developers need is to have to mass-recall cosmetics from the player's account or have the community in full revolt.

Even though an artist's personal life has nothing to do with cosmetics, most parents will not see it that way. This will lead to them preventing their children from playing the game, which will hamper the revenue flow and earnings of Epic Games.

It Iooks like players will have to make do with Bonejamin and consider him the bootleg version of the Lil Uzi Vert Fortnite skin.
