Is the Michael Myers Fortnite skin in development for Fortnitemares 2022? No, and while this would be a dream collaboration come true for many, it's far from the truth.

Officially, there's nothing on the cards that would suggest this crossover is in development and no leaker has been able to confirm the same either. Although this search query is trending on Google, there's nothing at all to suggest a collaboration.

The only possible explanation is that fans are tweeting in hopes that this crossover will come true. Given that the character is synonymous with Halloween and horror, having him in-game during Fortnitemares 2022 makes sense.

To be fair, this is not the first time that this has happened. Almost every year around this time, search trends related to the character see a spike for a few days. Additionally, a few clickbait content creators are using his name in their video titles to boost views for their channel as well. Here's an example:

This, in turn, encourages fans to search for keywords that further add to the trend. Aside from these two reasons, there's no other conclusive evidence as to why the search term "Michael Myers Fortnite skin" has been trending.

Nevertheless, it's left to be seen what Epic Games has in store for Fortnitemares 2022. On that note, here's a deep dive into the expected content that's coming soon.

Expected cosmetics for Fortnitemare 2022

While having the Michael Myers Fortnite skin would be cool, as of now, only two cosmetics have been confirmed and released as well. Sinister Glare and Undying Sorrow, created by Dreowings and kitsunexkitsu respectively, are currently live in the item shop.

The outfits can be purchased separately for 1,200 V-Bucks each or as a bundle for 1,600 V-Bucks; this is inclusive of back blings as well. As for their respective harvesting tools and the wrap, they can be purchased for 800 and 300 V-Bucks respectively or as a bundle for 1,200 V-Bucks.

In total, players will spend 2,800 V-Bucks to acquire all the cosmetics related to these two skins. Since these two outfits are themed for Halloween, players don't have to rush to buy them. They should be available until the celebrations for the "spooky month" come to an end.

Keeping that aside, there are bound to be other newer cosmetics added to the item shop as well over the course of this month. For the time being, Epic Games has not revealed what these new cosmetics will be.

Nevertheless, all that will change once the v22.20 update for Fortnitemares goes live on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Once the downtime starts, leakers will be able to pry information from the files, and showcase new cosmetics and assets that will be added in.

That said, the format for this year's celebration is still unknown. There's no telling how the developers plan on adding/revealing new cosmetics for the game. Hopefully, everything will be showcased during the upcoming update. Once again, for those wondering if the Michael Myers Fortnite skin will be added, the answer is still no.
